In the heart of nature, far from the hustle and bustle!

We are delighted to present our holiday gîte ‘Les Combres’ in Malbosc, South Ardèche.

Situated in the middle of the forests of the Cévennes Ardéchoises, in a Natura 2000 area, in the heart of the Cévennes National Park and the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park, our gîte has been open to holidaymakers who love peace and quiet and nature since the summer of 2022.

Although I had long dreamed of welcoming holidaymakers, Véronique wanted to wait until our sons had acquired their independence and autonomy.

The opportunity to look for a piece of paradise, our piece of paradise, presented itself in May 2018. A few months and a few visits later we found it, in Malbosc. I made five or six visits, Véronique two. Everything went very quickly, until Covid - again - forced us to put the project on hold. We received the keys in January 2019 and started work on restoring the building, which would become a gîte. In July 2022, after numerous delays and setbacks with certain contractors and a site ‘manager’, the gîte was ready, just a few days before the arrival of our first visitors. The relief and satisfaction of a fine achievement, the realisation of a project for a new life.

The first summer, we welcomed family, friends and acquaintances in test mode, which was a success in the opinion of all our guests. The summers of 2023 and 2024 welcomed travellers from France, Belgium, Holland, England and Germany. Some have already returned, others are coming back this summer 2025. This is probably proof that we made no mistake in choosing to offer a spacious, comfortable, fully-equipped place with high-quality, personalised service in a setting that is nothing short of exceptional. A place to disconnect from a hectic, stressful working life. To reconnect with nature.

Our aim is to offer our guests a unique and unforgettable holiday. Everything has been thought out, designed, fitted out and equipped as if it were our ‘home’ and for us. Complete, high-quality facilities, top-quality bedding for a relaxing holiday in an idyllic setting with breathtaking views. We are present but discreet, listening to the wishes and expectations of our guests, who count on us to make their stay a success. Their satisfaction is our satisfaction.

The 8x4m heated swimming pool and solarium, as well as the gîte's private terrace, offer uninterrupted views over the Cévennes forests to Mont Ventoux.

A base camp for hiking, cycling and mountain biking, close to many places of interest and activities for all ages and tastes, Véronique, Yves and the adorable little Stoki, our much-loved four-legged mascot, will be delighted to welcome you to Les Combres.
